I almost did not send this letter today, but I have committed to being consistent this year, so here I am writing by 4:10 a.m. After reading this, help a sister by either subscribing if you are new or by sharing this post so others can be blessed by this masterpiece.
I began my internship this week and it has been a wonderful one. I am learning well and my work environment is so peaceful. I share highlights of my work experience on my Instagram story.
Let’s dive into today’s wisdom nugget
At work, I was assigned to the production department. This department is responsible for the manufacturing of drugs. They work together with the Quality department to ensure that the drugs produced are of standard quality. My supervisor took me around the department to explain the various subunits and their job description. Before we entered the building, we had to dress appropriately. Their core mantra at work is SAFETY. I had to wash my hands, wear a lab coat, change to factory shoes, remove my pieces of jewellery, and wear a headcover and mask. We had to do this before entering the manufacturing area.
If I were to associate this with a spiritual lingua, I’d associate the manufacturing area with the Holy of Holies. There is so much to say about this statement but maybe in another letter.
There was something that struck my mind as we prepared to enter. There was a cross-over bench between the room we dressed and the manufacturing area. In pharmaceutical terms, it is called an airlock. I remember my supervisor saying to me that once I cross over the bench after dressing appropriately, It is wrong for me to cross back to the changing room. It is part of the Quality rules. If I were to cross back, I would have to start the sanitizing process again before moving to the manufacturing area.
As I meditated on this, I was reminded of Genesis 1:1. The 1st part that says, “ In the beginning God created…” It reads as “Bereshit bara Elohim” in Hebrew. Bereshit means In beginning. I know that Christians and even non-Christians are familiar with this scripture. That part has often been associated with “time” but it wasn’t necessarily talking about a point in time instead the focus was on the process of creation carried out by a BEING which is GOD.
PS: Studying the scriptures in the original languages hits differently. It provides context and helps with correct interpretation. The Bible was written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic.
The Hebrew language consists of 22 letters and each letter has a meaning, unlike the English letters. For instance, the Bible opens up with the Letter Beth (that is the 1st letter in Bereshit). Beth means house and the shape of the letter is quite an interesting one.
Can you see that it is like a house/container of something?
Can you also see it has only one entrance?
Can you see that from the 1st letter “a house” to be built is being introduced?
What it is hosting only has permission to move forward and not go back! Even if it tried, it wouldn’t be able to go back.
Can you READ?
'For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ '
Acts 17:28
Man was created to dwell in God and for God to dwell in him.
Without God, man is void!
No matter how much man tries, he can’t go out of the circumference of the creator.
A wise teacher once said, “God created a home for man(the earth) and created his home in man”. That is so powerful!
My supervisor mentioned that going back would mean starting the process of cleansing all over again to gain access to the manufacturing area. Man fell and sin/death entered into the world, God had to become a man in the person of Jesus to redeem that process God intended from the beginning. By having faith in what Christ has done, you are cleansed by the blood of Christ and can now access the Father.
If only a letter carries such a powerful message, just imagine the details in the Bible you tend to miss when you refuse to go back to the original language.
I want to encourage you to give yourself to the word like never before this year.
I’ll share resources with you that I know would benefit your bible study.
As you go about your weekend, go with the consciousness that you are a house of GOD
Happy Valentine’s Day!
PS: Don’t forget you are a TEMPLE, don’t trade your identity today for ephemeral things. Do not be an Esau.
Happy Valentine! ❤️
